WINE WEDNESDAY! 🍷
Highlighting one of our 6 Rhone Valley wines from this week's wine tasting experience, Domaine Paul Autard's Chateaunuf-Du-Pape.
The history of Châteauneuf-du-Pape is intertwined with the papacy's relocation to Avignon in the 14th century, leading to the construction of a papal summer palace and the planting of vineyards that established the area as a wine center, eventually resulting in the "Vin du Pape" or "Pope's Wine".
A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mouvedre this wine is lush and ripe, with a velvety core of steeped plum and blackberry fruit flavors lined with gently singed alder and cedar. Light savory and warm earth accents fill in on the finish.
Our wine tasting experience is offered Monday-Friday from 12pm-6pm! Free for Explorers wine club members and $10 per person to the public.
