Bridgewater Wines + Dines is Brunswick and New Hanover Counties’ first unique business model that combines a restaurant, wineshop, and wine club, all under one roof, creating a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Together owners Susan & Doug Zucker designed Bridgewater Wines + Dines to showcase wines from around the world at all price points. Susan & Doug make the perfect pairing. Doug is the “wines” and Susan is the “dines” in Bridgewater Wines + Dines! Doug spent more than 30 years in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area at the wine mecca, Stew Leonard’s. His wife Susan was a culinary professor in the New York region. Susan and Doug now travel the world together, and with their Explorer Wine Club members, exploring new food and wine finds to add to Bridgewater’s menu. Bridgewater’s menu features contemporary American cuisine with international influences. Together Doug and Susan have created Bridgewater Wines + Dines, an experience you don’t want to miss!

Susan is our culinary expert! For many years, she taught culinary courses in the New York region, at university and high school levels. Susan is an expert in crafting food and wine pairing menus and is responsible for planning all catering and events. She loves to share the cultural aspects and influences of food. Bon Appetit!
Doug Zucker,
Owner + Chief Wine Officer
Doug is our wine expert! He spent 30+ years at the internationally famous food and wine mecca in the northeast called Stew Leonard’s, including 15 years as Director of Operations for the wine and spirits business, a $90 million company. While there, Doug formed personal relationships with many wineries and producers around the globe. This led to Susan and Doug having relationships with most of the producers carried in the store. Doug earned his MBA from the Bordeaux Management School of Wine and Spirits while internationally traveling and studying the business. Doug enjoys sharing his vast wine knowledge and engaging stories with his guests.
